But always remember that housebreaking a Pomeranian is not a simple task and it can even take months to get it right. In some cases owners will give up and use Pomeranian litter box training in what they consider to be only a temporary measure in their housebreaking. As your dog shows signs of getting used to Pomeranian litter box training then you can slowly start to move the box towards the door you want it to use to go outside. Once you get the litter box to the door start taking the dog outside and eventually, hopefully, you can get rid of the litter box so that the dog knows that the door is now its way to the bathroom. Be patient as any housebreaking with a Pomeranian takes time.

Be warned that once you start Pomeranian litter box training you may be stuck with a dog that only uses a litter box. To many owners this is better than the alternative of a dog that wets the carpet and that is why many stick with it. If you do not mind the idea of a dog using the litter box full time then you should be fine but many dog owners do not like this concept and that is why Pomeranian litter box training can be a bad idea.

One of the great things about Havanese is that they are small, which make them perfect for cramped, modern lifestyles. However, their small size also means they have a small bladder. They physically cannot “hold it” like a bigger dog or a human can. A small dog like the Havanese needs relief about every four hours. Sadly, you can’t always get home for your lunch break in order to let your dog out. This is where the idea of Havanese litter box training sounds interesting.

Cues that your dog has to go are whining constantly, sitting at the door whining, walking around in small circles while sniffing and sometimes jumping up on your lap and staring at you. You then take your Havanese to the litter pan, drop them in and give the verbal command to eliminate. They will look somewhat confused, but eventually get the idea. You want to think long and hard about where you want your new Pomeranian to go potty as you want to pick a location that is safe and that he or she will always be able to get to.

Whether you decide to have your little one go potty inside or outside, make sure that the spot you pick is one that is theirs for a long. For example, you wouldn’t want to have their potty paper in the kitchen one day, in the bathroom another day, and then upstairs in the hallway on another day. Each day, as you get closer to the door, your puppy is slowly, and without realizing it, being trained to head to a certain door for potty time. Once at the door, leave it there for a few days until you are ready to place it on the other side of the door. By doing that, your puppy will want to go outside to the paper. After a few days of that, you can completely remove the paper.
While we want instant success and results, we cannot jump the gun too much when going through Pomeranian paper training. It is important that we pay attention to the signs that your puppy is already giving you. More than likely, your dog has already had some mistakes in the home whether intentional or unintentional by them. And because of the scent left behind, no matter how well you cleaned the area, you may be noticing your dog goes back to the same spot over and over again.

By using that information, you can put your Pomeranian training off to a good start. Place a few papers down in the area that your puppy seems to already be partial to. Once they have started going on the paper for a few days, start to move it towards the place that you want the potty time to actually take place at. A Shih Tzu is a proud and regal dog that likes things very clean and doesn’t really get trained. You can show a Shih Tzu what you expect it to do, but in the end if it does not adopt the behavior then you have a long road ahead of you. Punishment and negative reinforcement will cause all of your training to be undone and you may even have to reconnect with your Shih Tzu after any punishment. Your Shih Tzu only understands positive reinforcement so be patient and use good training.

At some point some Shih Tzu owners think that Shih Tzu paper training may work in their house breaking attempts. Housebreaking a Shih Tzu is a long process that can take months and the one thing you do not want to do is keep introducing new things into the process. If you want to try Shih Tzu paper training then you will need to begin moving its living area around to be near the main soiled area. Cover the area in layers of paper and make sure the living space is near, but not on, the soiled area. Slowly begin to move the living area, and the papers, towards the door to the outside. Always clean the papers regularly, keep a small amount of soiled paper with fresh paper so the dog knows it is an area to use, and praise the dog for using the paper.

You will probably need to keep your Shih Tzu confined to its living area for a while but remember that the Shih Tzu can get bored after only a couple of hours and they can get confused if they are confined for too long. That is why you should be taking your Shih Tzu out every 45 minutes when you are home and keep them confined when they are not being taken outside. The Shih Tzu can be frustrating but stay with it if you want to train them right.

Dogs do not share this affection for a litter box so you will have to be the one to get your dog used to a litter box. One of the most frustrating things in the world when it comes to owning a beagle, or any other dog, is when the dog is having a problem being housebroken. The worst thing you can do is strike the animal and the other worst thing you can do is lock the dog in its pen when it is having problems going at the right time and in the right place. Patience is needed and a lot of it so take a deep breath and gather yourself.

Your first order of business is to make sure there are no physical ailments causing problems. The vet will let you know if your dog has any physical problems that could be preventing housebreaking. If there are no physical problems then you may have to resort to beagle paper training as a very last resort and it should only be used as a very last resort in almost any case.
You should try to avoid beagle paper training at all costs. One way to avoid the papers is to set aside a 48-hour period where you can take your dog to the spot outside you want them to use every hour on the hour. When they do their business in that spot then offer a great deal of positive reinforcement. After forty-eight straight hours they should get the idea of what you are trying to teach them.
